DARK ACOUSTIC BALLAD
I wrote this song in late 2016. At the same time as track number 2 (rockafella clones). At the time i felt the need to express how my life was functioning with the practical mundane distractions i was providing for myself, whilst wanting to reach out to express how i really felt inside. However its always safer not to and my sense of never wanting to worry people and be strong for others, the only way I could express my feelings was by writing music.
It is on the album as the whole album is about my inner truth

Looking back at past all today
showed half a boy innocence gone astray
filled with hope inside his heart
one more bottle comes the realisation that its gone

A life divided upside down
spreading joy but wears a frown
insecurities laid on the floor
I cannot take it anymore

In time, you'll say all this and laugh
but you won't find peace of mind here
that road isn't clear..........

Can you see me?
Can you feel me?
Can you touch my soul?
Can you fell my pain?
Its the same again, so feel my shame.

Wake up on a bright sunny day
wonderful but you're bed won't go away
conveyor belt down to the shop
cigarettes, papers, chewing gum
and then i'm gone, so wrong.

Moving feet but run aground
a never ending swollen mound
of guilt that resides at the store
of the mind that has plenty more
Its time, to get out of the bath
But you don't find peace of mind here
Just cry your waterfall tears
That road can be clear
