about

Another song written quite a while ago . A story that i needed to tell from the past chartering the turbulent relationship i had with my father. At the time i was trying to understand and make sense of it all. Since then i have reconciled it and written another song "Until now" which is on the "See my truths"album which displays all the understanding i now have about the relationship.
So this is a throwback but its a song i have held back for ages because i was never comfortable letting people know about our relationship. Now it is reconciled within myself i feel its important to look back at how i was feeling to recognise that no matter what age you are, you can always learn and understand more about people in order to see them in a better light

lyrics

Said something into his head, he didn't know what's right
All the lies come naturally, he said "you were wrong"
Everytime he bought a gift, he expected a room a light
I just sit inside my bed, Was i right?

A speaking man with all the chance to say "I need something"
Threw it away with a saying that i can't write.

See my talking outright
I'll be there tonight
See me on the side
Well i'll be there tonight
You don't have any other way to keep things under wraps
it was all in his head so he said, Good night

Looking out one summers morn with a cricket bat in his hand
Botham, lamb and all the rest
I had might
Then he came out to the boy he said "you havent got your whites"
Well done Dad it will now be called another day to fight

Here's a man with a chance to say it didn't matter
Go on son have the game of your life

See my talking outright
I'll be there tonight
See me on the side
Well i'll be there tonight
You don't have any other way to keep me under wraps
it was all in his head so he said, Good night

Then later on i let my feelings out
This thing has gone on far too long
From someone else's eyes i said
You now have no rights

See my talking outright
I'll be there tonight
See me on the side
Well i'll be there tonight
You don't have any other way to keep me under wraps
it was all in your head so I said, Goodbye
