about

So i wrote and recorded this song "Welcome to gaza" in 2021. Following various life experiences, i have learned how dangerous it can be to form a fixed ingrained opinion without active listening, research and discovery and that yearn to find out some truths.
I have Israeli friends, and i have palestinian friends. This song is not about having a go at the Israeli people, but rather i hope an eye opener for everyone all over the world to look back and delve into that vital shared understanding of that so very important questions. Why? Yes it is complicated, but all any members of the human race wants and needs are basic human rights and the opportunity to live, whilst never wholly equal in the world, at least with a sense of hope and possibility and definitely safety for their children.

All acts of war are a tragedy, horrendous and leave the vulnerable suffering the most. At the moment without even needing to go into any sort of divide, there is a massive part of the human race suffering immeasurable horror and terror . The overwhelming majority of these people, simply want safety for their children and basic human rights . At the moment thousands and thousands of our human race are without that and on top of that are living in fear of being bombed on a daily basis. These people are not powerful rich people. They are like you and me, wanting the same things out of life, but without homes, hospitals, clean drinking water, and living in fear of death on a daily basis.

When people are put in a position of desperation, things happen that maybe shouldn't in the form of violence and reaction, but the facts do show that palestinians are fighting to survive against all the odds for many many years. This is not the fault of the Israeli people, and their beautiful good hearts, just as the atrocities that brought the years long conflict back onto our front pages. As i said , the song was written and recorded in 2021 and related to a living situation for most Palestinians that most of us couldn't imagine.

Right now, they are suffering, and don't have the infinite funds needed to help provide safety and a sense of well being for their children, so they are the people in most need of anything that can be provided.

So i am releasing this EP of songs all of which have messages within of compassion, the plight of those who suffer, and the hope for us all arriving at a place where humanity can recognise we are all as one and have a right to live in peace.

All funds will go to Medical aid for palestinians.

So this feels like a small something i can do and provide through music and hopefully eye opening a little with the story of the songs to not only bring some much needed funds to those people suffering , but also shine a bit of light on humanity much needed at this time.

lyrics

Did you ever see the day
Your house demolished when you went away
Did you ever hurt inside
Seeing children running anywhere to hide
Did you ever feel that shame
See that man screaming in pain
Did you ever have that in your life
Should you ever have that in your sight

Why don’t you come and see
An ice cold family lying next to me
Do they know, what they feel
About the hunters bearing down with youthful zeal
Did you ever feel the pain
Of losing a family name?
The jewish pain, its all the same

Bring your guns bring your bombs
Watch us fight
Bring your guns bring your bombs
Watch us die

Ooo I hear the children say
Aren’t we all on earth the same
Breathing in and out all day
If we choose to divide
Human lives with disparate lines
Are we back where we were
In 1939??

Have you seen what I’ve seen, can’t we dream
Of an end
